Tania M. L. Saylor, ESQ.
Tania M. L. Saylor is a founding partner of Peterson Saylor, PLC. Throughout her legal career Tania has been a trial attorney handling cases from the commencement of litigation through verdict, judgment or settlement. While Tania currently focuses her practice on trusts and estates litigation and contested guardianship and conservatorship matters, she has significant experience in general civil litigation matters.
Tania began her legal career as in-house counsel for State Farm Mutual Insurance Company where she maintained an extensive and highly active caseload defending personal injury and property damage claims. Her time as in-house counsel afforded her the opportunity to try numerous bench trials in the General District Courts and several jury trials in the Circuit Courts of Northern Virginia. Following her time with State Farm, Tania worked at a national law firm listed in the “Top 50” by the National Law Journal. While there she continued to defend personal injury claims, but expanded her practice to include complex litigation and the defense of professional liability claims.
As a trial attorney Tania understands the importance of building relationships in the legal community, and as a result she has been actively involved with the Fairfax Bar Association throughout her legal career. More specifically, Tania served on the Fairfax Bar Association Board of Directors for the Young Lawyers’ Section from 2007 through 2009, the Membership Committee from 2011 through 2012, and she currently serves on the Fairfax Bar Association Circuit Court Committee. In 2019 Tania was also appointed to serve on a Disciplinary District Committee with the Virginia State Bar.
Tania also dedicates time to fostering relationships between the legal community and the community at large by volunteering with the Fairfax Law Foundation on law related education programs and serving as a conciliator. As time permits, Tania also enjoys volunteering at her children’s school.
